Help and support

For help or support during the event, speak to a member of our staff or visit the reception desk.

Please notify us as soon as possible if you have accessibility or other requirements. Email events@scienceforanimalwelfare.org and we will do our best to support you.

Filming and photography

The conference will be live-streamed and recorded. Photography will take place throughout.

If you prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please notify the reception desk.

Programme and abstracts

The programme and abstract booklet will be available online only.

To reduce waste, delegates are asked to print the programme and abstract booklet should they wish to have a printed copy. No printed copies will be available.

Registration

Opens 08:30 on 23 June 2026

Senate House Lobby

Each delegate will receive:

  • their badge and lanyard and
  • their delegate tote bag

No printed copies of the programme, abstract booklet or delegate list will be included. Please print your own copies in advance to reduce waste.

Please note that each registration is individual and non-transferable, unless pre-approved by Science for Animal Welfare. 

Wi-Fi internet access

Delegates can connect to the Wi-Fi using the details shared in their joining instructions.

Asking questions

We encourage delegates, both online and in person, to ask questions when invited. We will ask as many questions as time allows.

  • Microphones will be available for audience questions.
  • Online delegates can type their question into the online platform and it will be read out by a monitor in the room.
  • The session chair will invite questions. Please raise your hand.
  • Please state your name and affiliation before asking your question.
  • Please keep your question short and to the point to enable as many delegates to ask questions as possible.
  • Time is limited, therefore, it may not be possible for all questions to be asked.

Posters

Poster sessions, with the authors, will take place during lunch on 23 and 24 June. Posters will be available to view throughout the conference.

Social media and photography

We encourage delegates to capture memories through photographs and to share their experience at the conference on social media.

We kindly ask delegates to

  • Avoid flash photography,
  • Not record talks,
  • Respect “no sharing” notices on slides.

Food and drink

All food will be vegetarian/vegan.

If you have not informed us of your dietary requirements, please email events@scienceforanimalwelfare.org as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Safety information

No fire drills are scheduled on 23–24 June 

A fire alarm test is scheduled for 08:45 on 25 June for approximately 5 minutes. No evacuation is required.

In an emergency

  • Exit via the nearest emergency exit 
  • Follow the continuous siren alarm 
  • Do not use the lifts 
  • Assemble at the Malet Street Fire Assembly Point (turn right when exiting) 
  • Do not re-enter until authorised.

Delegates with Personal Evacuation Plans (PEPs) will be assisted to a fire exit. If you require assistance to evacuate safely and have not informed us already, please email events@scienceforanimalwelfare.org as soon as possible.
